In Lancaster, a man was taken into custody for the murder of a woman after her body was discovered in the trunk of a vehicle that had been burnt.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was able to determine that the suspect was none other than Matthew Switalski, who is 37 years old.

According to the authorities, Switalski is the owner of the residence in which the victim, Veronica Aguilar, who was 27 years old, was discovered. Neighbors have stated that it was believed that the two were dating at one point in time.

At approximately 8:30 in the morning on December 20, emergency workers responded to a fire that was burning at a residence located in the 41400 block of 38th Street West.

When the firefighters arrived, they discovered that the garage was the source of intense smoke and flames. Aguilar’s body was discovered inside the trunk of a car, along with two burnt automobiles, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. It was determined that the woman had passed away at the site.
