Sarah Hamrick’s young age saw Clayton Echard seriously doubting if she’s ready for a relationship, especially after he was warned by another lady in the line-up. We found out how old she is.
Mara Agrait, who was recently called a “cougar” by Sarah, seemed to get her own back on the February 14th episode, by insinuating that she may not be ready to commit to Clayton.
She suggested to him that not everyone wanted the same things as he did, which saw him divert his attention to Sarah. As she is the youngest and Mara is the eldest in the group, they were basically having an age stand-off.

Sarah is the youngest contestant on The Bachelor 2022, at 23 years old. Her co-star Mara, 32, said: “Sarah, honey. So young and so confident. But honestly, Clayton, if you end up with her, give me a call whenever you need a babysitter.”
The ABC star recently revealed on her Instagram story that she was “roasted” for her age, race and appearance on the show, adding that she “can laugh because she knows how to take a joke”.
Despite the comments she has received about her age, many have been sticking up for her on social media. It comes as Clayton revealed he had some thinking to do, as he had begun doubting if she is ready to get married.

Born on 29th April 1993, Clayton Echard is 28 years old at the time of writing. This means that him and Sarah have a five-year age gap between them, which isn’t a massive deal in the grand scheme of things.
When the list of ladies for the 2022 line-up were cast, the producers would likely have only brought on women who matched Clayton’s age requirements. However, since being warned, he seems to be having some doubts.
The closest person to Sarah’s age is Teddi Wright, who is currently 24 years old. There hasn’t been any speculation about whether she is ready to get engaged, despite her only being one year older than her co-star.

Sarah is Asian-American, as she is part Vietnamese and grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA. She was adopted into a white family from a young age, a part of her upbringing which she told Clayton about.
She told Becca during an interview on the Bachelor Happy Hour IG:
It is relevant to who I am and how I view family and children, relationships, all the above. It was relevant because having been adopted and growing up in a family and a community that didn’t look like me, having always felt isolated and ostracized and not really seen or appreciated for who I was, was just a really familiar feeling.
Her parents are Michael and Karen Scruggs Hamrick, who she seems closer than ever to. Now living in New York, Sarah works as a social media influencer and model, and was previously a financial advisor.
